About the Role Southampton has a growing technology and innovation economy supported by its universities, maritime industries and expanding digital business community. At Nexa Vision AI Solutions, we develop artificial intelligence products that help organisations automate processes, improve decision making and deliver more efficient customer and operational services. We are looking for an AI Product Manager who can take ownership of product strategy, roadmap development and the delivery of practical artificial intelligence solutions. You will work closely with machine learning engineers, software developers, data scientists, designers and commercial teams to turn customer needs into reliable products. This role is suited to an experienced product professional who can balance customer value, technical feasibility and responsible AI considerations. You will guide products from discovery and validation through development, launch and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities * Product Strategy: Define and maintain the vision, positioning and strategic direction for artificial intelligence products and services. * Roadmap Management: Build and prioritise the product roadmap according to customer needs, commercial value, technical dependencies and available resources. * Product Discovery: Conduct customer interviews, market research and problem validation before committing development resources. * Requirements Definition: Translate business needs into clear product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria and measurable outcomes. * AI Use Case Evaluation: Assess potential artificial intelligence applications based on feasibility, data availability, customer value and operational risk. * Cross Functional Leadership: Coordinate product delivery across machine learning, software engineering, data science, design, quality assurance and commercial teams. * Backlog Management: Prioritise product features, technical improvements and experiments while maintaining clear delivery objectives. * Model Performance Coordination: Work with technical teams to define appropriate standards for model accuracy, reliability, monitoring and continuous improvement. * Responsible AI: Support appropriate controls for explainability, privacy, fairness, security and human oversight. * Product Analytics: Define and monitor measures covering adoption, engagement, performance, customer satisfaction and commercial impact. * Launch Management: Coordinate product releases, internal readiness, customer communication and post launch performance reviews. * Customer Feedback: Gather and analyse user feedback to identify product issues, unmet needs and opportunities for improvement. * Stakeholder Management: Present roadmap decisions, product performance, risks and delivery priorities to internal and external stakeholders. What We Are Looking For * Experience: At least 5 years of experience in product management, digital products, software services or technology consulting. * Education: Bachelor degree in Business, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering or a related discipline. * AI Product Knowledge: Strong understanding of artificial intelligence, machine learning, automation or data driven software products. * Product Leadership: Experience managing product strategy, roadmaps and delivery through multiple development cycles. * Technical Confidence: Ability to work effectively with engineers and data scientists and discuss models, data pipelines, integrations and system limitations. * Customer Focus: Experience identifying customer needs through research, feedback and product usage data. * Analytical Skills: Ability to use product metrics, experiments and performance information to support decision making. * Commercial Awareness: Understanding of pricing, product adoption, customer retention and investment priorities. * Responsible AI Awareness: Understanding of privacy, fairness, transparency, security and governance considerations in artificial intelligence products. * Stakeholder Management: Confidence presenting product decisions and managing expectations across technical, commercial and customer teams. * Communication: Strong written, verbal and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex technical matters clearly. * Software Skills: Experience using product management, analytics, collaboration and issue tracking platforms.
