About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Associate, Applied AI/ML Engineer to join our Applied AI/ML team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in assisting our clients and internal teams to develop, deploy, and operate advanced AI and machine learning models and agentic systems. Your expertise will help ensure these systems are implemented in a secure, scalable, and responsible manner. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build robust data pipelines, enhance observability, and optimize AI/ML workflows, ultimately enabling the delivery of innovative AI solutions that meet the highest standards of quality and safety. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience supporting the deployment of AI/ML products, including model and agent workflows. Proficiency with observability, evaluation, experimentation, and tracing platforms for AI/ML or large language models is essential. Candidates should have demonstrated expertise in distributed data processing frameworks such as Ray, Spark, or similar technologies. Strong software engineering skills, including writing clean, maintainable code, testing, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, are required. Excellent communication skills are vital to translate complex technical requirements into practical engineering solutions. A background in integrating AI/ML into production environments, monitoring, incident response, and change management is highly preferred. Additionally, familiarity with responsible AI governance, lifecycle management, and ethical AI practices will be advantageous. Responsibilities * Assist clients and internal teams in building and deploying AI/ML models and agent systems across various frameworks, ensuring best practices in selection, integration, troubleshooting, and performance optimization. * Implement and manage AI/ML observability tools, including experimentation management, tracing, and monitoring, to enhance the reliability and quality of models and agent behaviors. * Design, develop, and optimize large-scale data processing pipelines and feature workflows utilizing distributed compute platforms such as Ray, Spark, or equivalent technologies. * Leverage coding assistants and automation tools to improve engineering efficiency while maintaining high standards of code quality and reliability. * Ensure the secure deployment and access control of AI/ML services by adhering to security-by-design principles, implementing access controls, and maintaining environment separation in line with firm policies for responsible AI use. * Create comprehensive technical documentation and runbooks to facilitate support, troubleshooting, and repeatable delivery of AI/ML solutions.
