Senior / Lead Automation Engineer – Power Platform \& AI
Brighton, East Sussex – Hybrid, 1 day in the office
£60,000 – £72,000
A Senior / Lead Automation Engineer is required to play a leading role in a newly established team within a large, highly regulated organisation undergoing significant digital transformation.
The organisation is building an enterprise-scale automation capability that will deliver a significant portfolio of Power Platform, Copilot and AI-enabled solutions. The focus is not simply on completing individual projects, but on creating reusable assets, mature engineering practices and a scalable delivery model that can support dozens of automation initiatives.
This is a hands-on senior engineering position rather than a traditional management role. You’ll design and deliver complex automation solutions while providing technical direction to other engineers, reviewing code, owning estimates and helping to establish consistent development and delivery standards.
You’ll work closely with architects, process specialists and senior stakeholders, taking responsibility for the quality, sizing and technical delivery of automation solutions. As the capability grows, there may also be an opportunity to take on formal team-management responsibilities.
We are looking for a Senior Automation Engineer with experience in:
* Delivering automation solutions at scale within a large, enterprise-level, complex or regulated organisation
* Strong hands-on experience with Power Apps, Power Automate and Power Automate Desktop
* Building and deploying Microsoft Copilot Agents
* Developing AI-enabled workflows, agents or business applications
* Power Automate flows, APIs and enterprise system integrations
* Reviewing code and providing technical guidance to other developers
* Owning estimates, technical sizing and delivery planning
* Defining development standards and creating reusable automation components
* Working with architects to ensure solutions meet enterprise requirements
* CI/CD, application lifecycle management, testing and release pipelines
* Working within collaborative Agile engineering teams
* Power Platform governance, including DLP, RBAC and identity management
* Mentoring engineers and improving development quality across a team
They are offering a salary of £60,000 – £72,000 plus great benefits and free parking, as well as, hybrid working, with 1 day a week onsite in their office in Brighton East Sussex, and occasional travel between nearby offices.
