Senior Data Scientist – Generative AI * Up to £80,000 * Hybrid (3 days per week in London, Woking or Gloucestershire) * Global Technology Business I'm partnering with a global technology organisation to hire a Senior Data Scientist into a growing AI \& Data team. This is an opportunity to join a business investing heavily in AI, where you'll play a key role in designing and deploying Generative AI and machine learning solutions that deliver measurable commercial value. The business * Global technology organisation operating across international markets * Significant investment in AI, data and cloud technologies * Collaborative engineering culture with a strong focus on innovation and continuous learning * Opportunity to influence how Generative AI is adopted across the organisation The role * Design, build and deploy production-ready Generative AI and machine learning solutions * Develop LLM applications, RAG pipelines, semantic search and intelligent automation capabilities * Work across the full AI lifecycle, from experimentation through to deployment, monitoring and continuous improvement * Apply both classical machine learning and modern GenAI techniques to solve complex business problems * Collaborate with data engineers, product teams and senior stakeholders to deliver high-impact AI initiatives * Mentor other data scientists and help define best practices across AI engineering and MLOps What they're looking for * Strong Python and SQL skills with commercial experience delivering machine learning solutions * Hands-on experience building LLM applications and Generative AI solutions, including RAG, vector databases and prompt engineering * Experience deploying AI models into production using modern MLOps practices * Exposure to cloud platforms and modern AI tooling such as Databricks, Azure AI or Microsoft Fabric * Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value This is an excellent opportunity to join a business where AI is a genuine strategic priority, working on a broad range of greenfield initiatives while helping shape the future direction of the organisation's AI capabilities.
