Senior Software Engineer (Machine Learning)
We’re helping a HFT leader (with a huge emphasis on work life balance and flexible working), specialised in turning complex sports data into actionable competitive insight that provides smarter, evidence-based decision-making. Build high performance trading and analytics platforms for the future!
Essential Skills:
* Strong programming exposure with Python (NumPy, SciPy)
* Experience working with large datasets, numerical computing or distributed systems
* Understanding of high-performance computing concepts such as multithreading, tabular data modelling and optimisation
* Strong problem-solving mindset with an analytical, systems-focused approach
Bonus skills:
* Exposure with C++
* Experience with statistical mathematical methods, sports modelling and machine learning, with the ability to apply them to real-world sporting problems
Day-to-Day Duties:
* Design, develop and analyse high-performance trading and analytics platforms
* Work with quant teams to convert prototype models into scalable production systems
* Build and maintain data pipelines, research tooling and modelling frameworks
* Optimise systems for low latency, scalability and reliability
* Contribute to internal research projects exploring new metrics, analytical methods and innovative applications of sport data

Pay: £80,000.00-£160,000.00 per year
