Freelance AI Technician - AI Website Builds and Tech Implementation

About the opportunity We are launching a new venture building AI-powered websites for small businesses, alongside a portfolio of rank-and-rent websites. These are sites we own that rank in local search, generate leads, and earn recurring rental income. We are looking for a self-employed AI technician to own the technical side, and we will say it plainly: we are looking for more than a freelancer. The right person, proven over time, becomes our technical business partner. Sales and operations are handled in-house, and our team brings deep SEO expertise to direct the work. You focus on the technology and the hands-on delivery. The work * Build and launch AI-powered websites for clients using modern AI site-building tools * Build rank-and-rent websites: you create the sites, our in-house SEO expertise ranks them, and once the leads flow we rent or sell them to clients. Every site you build becomes an asset in the portfolio * Implement changes, updates, and fixes across client sites, including SEO changes guided by our in-house team (no SEO experience needed: we tell you what and why, you handle the how) * Set up and run the AI tools and automations behind the service, and handle the technical work required as the business grows * Part-time to start, growing to full-time as the business grows. The workload scales with the client base, and we want it to * Work is project-based: you quote your availability, we agree scope, you deliver and invoice * Halifax-based to start, flexible after. Expect the early weeks to involve regular in-person sessions in Halifax while we set up tools and workflows together, moving to home-based working with in-person planning and collaboration days agreed as we go. Candidates within reach of Halifax preferred Pay £15 to £20 per hour, depending on experience, self-employed. You invoice us monthly for hours worked, with scope and rate agreed before each project starts. Expected hours are 10 to 20 per week to start. Your rate is reviewed regularly and grows as you deliver: the better the work and the more you take on, the more you earn. This is a ground-floor position in a new venture, and we want your earnings to rise with it. The real opportunity: become our technical business partner This is the part that matters if you are entrepreneurial. We are building a portfolio of websites that earn recurring income, and we are looking for the technical half of that business. Prove yourself through the work and the intention is a genuine equity stake and business partnership: part-ownership of a growing portfolio of income-generating sites, a real say in where the business goes, and a share in what it becomes. You would be joining at the ground floor of something designed to compound. Every site built adds to the asset base you would eventually co-own. To be clear: there is nothing to buy into and no investment required. You are paid for every hour from day one, and the freelance work stands on its own terms. The partnership step is earned through delivered work and would be agreed and documented properly at the time. What we are looking for * Strong hands-on AI skills: you already use AI tools daily and pick up new ones fast (AI site builders, AI assistants, automation platforms) * Enough practical web skills to take a site from brief to live launch and make changes confidently. You do not need to be a traditional developer * A fixer: when something technical needs doing, you work out how and get it done * Entrepreneurial mindset: you think about the business, not just the task, and you want to end up owning part of what you build * Ideally, good working knowledge of Claude (Anthropic's AI) and VS Code: we already run Claude-based automations and workflows across our other brands, and for the right person there is additional paid technical work helping us build and implement these. Claude Code experience is the priority since our current systems are built on it, running in VS Code. Claude Cowork experience is also valuable. We mean the more technical side of Claude, not just chat * SEO experience is a bonus, not a requirement.
