AI Cloud Platform Engineer - FinTech - £80,000-£120,000 + Bonus

Job title: AI Cloud Platform Engineer Client: FinTech Salary: £80,000-£120,000 + Bonus Location: London Skills: AI, Azure, Foundry, Snowflake, AWS, GCP, Terraform The role: My client are looking for an individual to sit between their Front Office AI and Infrastructure teams, to deliver AI expertise to the broader business. You will understand the AI needs of the business and work to implement these with the Infrastructure team. The team is pivotal in enabling the use of AI within the organisation, working closely with stakeholders in various teams. You will be responsible for accelerating public cloud based AI maturity. Experience required: * Cloud Engineering – Azure / AWS / GCP * Deep hands on experience across landing zones, identity, networking, security, governance and connectivity * Working knowledge of GCP and Vertex AI / Gemini * AI Operations and Integration * Experience running AI services across the public cloud (Azure / AWS / GCP) * AI knowledge around OpenAI, Anthropic etc. * Understanding of AI operational patterns such as API model access, availability, monitoring and governance * Cloud based Networking and Hybrid Connectivity * Utilising ExpressRoute / Direct Connect to facilitate hybrid cloud connectivity * Good understanding of Cloud Network Security, privacy, endpoints, DNS integration, zero-trust * Identity and Access Management * Experience working with and implementing IAM (Entra ID, AWS IAM), RBAC, PAM, MFA etc. * Understanding of AI security limits and policies * Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Automation * Strong experience with technologies such as Terraform / Bicep / CloudFormation etc.) * Scripting / development experience utilising Python, Bash or PowerShell to automate platform operations * Governance and Costing * Enforcing cloud governance frameworks and policies * Managing cloud cost controls and optimising consumption of AI * Working knowledge of AI security This is a very broad role operating at the cutting edge of AI technology, within an established, successful and lucrative Financial Services firm.
