Warwick (Hybrid – 1 day per week in the office) £91,000 per annum Up to 30% bonus, 12% pension \& private healthcare We are recruiting for a hands-on Data Science Manager to lead a high-performing team while remaining actively involved in coding, developing AI models, and delivering advanced data science solutions across a major UK energy business. You'll combine technical expertise with leadership, working on complex data challenges that support critical operations and the UK's energy transition. Key Responsibilities: * Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of Data Scientists while remaining hands-on with data science projects * Building AI, machine learning, statistical modelling, forecasting, and simulation solutions to solve complex business challenges * Developing scalable data solutions by combining multiple data sources and collaborating with stakeholders across the organisation * Driving innovation through modern Data Science techniques, delivering projects from concept through to deployment Requirements: * Proven experience in Data Science with previous leadership or management experience * Strong hands-on programming skills in Python and SQL, with expertise in machine learning, statistics, and AI/GenAI * Experience delivering end-to-end Data Science projects within cloud environments; Azure experience is beneficial * Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience in the utilities or energy sector being advantageous This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading organisation at the forefront of the UK's energy transition, offering cutting-edge projects, outstanding benefits, and the chance to lead while staying technically hands-on.
