We are seeking an exceptional Director, Artificial Intelligence and Data, to join our Government \& Public Services Health practice.

The healthcare market is evolving rapidly as organisations invest in AI, advanced analytics and data-driven transformation. This strategically important leadership role will provide direction across business development, client delivery, proposition development, thought leadership and market engagement. You will help establish Deloitte as a market-leading partner for healthcare organisations seeking to deploy AI and data-enabled solutions safely, responsibly and at scale.

Your role

As a Director, Artificial Intelligence and Data, you will help healthcare organisations unlock the value of their data assets and deliver measurable, sustainable outcomes. In this role, you may be expected to:

• Build trusted relationships with Boards, executive teams, Chief Digital Information Officers, Chief Data Officers and senior clinical leaders, helping shape the strategic direction of AI and data investments.
• Shape and lead AI, data and digital transformation strategies and complex programmes from strategy and planning through implementation, adoption and benefits realisation.
• Drive business development, strategic pursuits and market growth, creating new opportunities and expanding key client relationships across the healthcare sector.
• Develop differentiated propositions and thought leadership across generative AI, agentic AI, ambient clinical technologies, advanced analytics, intelligent automation and healthcare transformation.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and advise clients on responsible AI adoption, governance, ethics, assurance and risk, improving patient outcomes, workforce experience, clinical productivity and organisational performance.

We are looking for candidates who are able to demonstrate skills and experience in some of the following:

EDUCATION \& EXPERIENCE

• Significant senior leadership experience in healthcare, artificial intelligence, data, analytics, digital transformation or consulting environments.
• Proven experience advising Boards, Chief Executives, Chief Digital Information Officers, Chief Data Officers and senior clinical leaders.
• A strong track record of leading complex transformation programmes from strategy through implementation, adoption and benefits realisation.
• Experience developing and delivering major business development pursuits, strategic growth initiatives and enduring client relationships.
• Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering large-scale, high-impact client engagements.
• Deep understanding of healthcare-sector challenges, market drivers and transformation opportunities, supported by experience developing thought leadership, propositions or innovative service offerings.

A relevant degree, professional qualification or equivalent experience in healthcare, technology, data, artificial intelligence or a related field.

• TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY
• Strong understanding of AI strategy, adoption and implementation, including generative AI and agentic AI-enabled transformation.
• Knowledge of ambient technologies and emerging healthcare AI applications, including their potential to improve clinical and operational productivity.
• Experience leading data and analytics transformation, including population health, predictive analytics and data-driven decision making.
• Understanding of AI governance, ethics, assurance, safety and responsible AI frameworks in regulated environments.
• Knowledge of data architecture, interoperability and enterprise data strategies.
• Experience delivering intelligent automation, workflow redesign and benefits realisation initiatives.
• Strong commercial acumen, exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, and the credibility to influence senior healthcare and technology leaders.
