Senior Product Manager

Lifted is the people platform for the frontline with a current focus on social care. We help care providers find and keep amazing people, so that everyone in the world can get the care they need from the right person at the right time. We are growing very fast, having grown from a team of 5 to 50 in less than 2 years, and working with 750 companies in the UK.

The opportunity ahead of us is vast. The care market is doubling in the next 10 years and the people process is often still run on paper. It's a global challenge and we are rising to it. We are backed by leading investors Ada Ventures, Fuel Ventures and Form Ventures.

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to own our ground-breaking AI recruitment assistant for care providers. That covers everything from the moment a candidate applies to the moment they start work: AI voice screening, interview scheduling, pre-employment compliance checks, and onboarding. The product combines voice AI, machine learning and compliance automation.

The technology team runs as two squads. The Hiring Squad owns screening and onboarding. The Visa Squad owns immigration and compliance.

In six weeks in July, the team went from business case to a working voice AI screening agent with a values-based scoring rubric behind it. The first placements were made through that journey in the same month. The product works, it is early, it needs to scale, and parts of it will need course correction based on what we learn.

What Lifted expects from this role

  • Own the strategic vision, goals and roadmap of the product across AI screening and onboarding.
  • Stay close to users. Seek out feedback from carers and providers and be the voice of the customer internally. Build trust with users by acting on their feedback quickly and visibly.
  • Grow product engagement and customer love.
  • Work to two horizons. First, take friction out of the current product and move it from MVP to minimum lovable product. Second, move it towards self-serve, because the volume of candidates the business intends to process cannot be handled any other way.
  • Obsess over goals. Push the product hard while the compliance advantage still exists.
  • Shape and drive squad rituals: cycle planning, product prioritisation, and product triage for the Hiring Squad.
  • Document plans and requirements in high-quality Product Requirement Documents.
  • This is an experienced hire. The bar is someone who has run a product at this stage before and can work autonomously with their squad.

What you will own

  • The full candidate journey from application to first day at work, treated as one product rather than a set of features.
  • The voice AI screening agent: adoption, completion rates, screening quality, and the values-based assessment behind the scoring.
  • Further agentic solutions across the journey. Screening is the second agent in production, after the success of the onboarding agent.
  • Integration of screening into the core platform, so interview outcomes, notes, and candidate records live in one place.
  • Pre-employment compliance checks, including identity verification, documents, and references.
  • Onboarding experience for both the carer and the provider.
  • Support as a product research surface. Candidate issues are triaged for a fix, not patched one at a time.

What we are looking for

  • Experienced product manager. Has grown a product from early stage through to scale
  • Track record of rapid iteration on a live, early-stage product.
  • Comfortable shipping agentic AI or LLM-based products in production. Understands evaluation and quality measurement, not just prompting.
  • High levels of ownership.
  • Leads their own research. Speaks to real users regularly and turns what they hear into actionable insights.
  • Communicates clearly and manages stakeholder needs. Writes crisp PRDs that engineers can work with.
  • Driven by data. Pulls and interprets their own numbers, and can explain how the insights are used to drive decision-making.
  • Passion for our mission, and kindness.

Nice to have

  • Recruitment, HR tech, staffing, or marketplace experience is a strong advantage.
  • UK care sector, or health and social care staffing.
  • Self-serve and product-led growth experience.
  • Voice or conversational product experience.
