Help shape how we use AI and technology

Greenarc Fuel Cards is looking for a Technology \& AI Analyst to join our growing technology function.

This is a hands-on technology role spanning AI, automation, business systems, data and technology projects.

You’ll work directly with our technology leadership, helping take business problems and ideas from initial requirement through investigation, development, testing and implementation.

This isn’t a traditional IT support role.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, understands how technology can improve a business and wants the opportunity to take genuine ownership of projects and solutions.

What you’ll be doing

Your role will span four main areas

AI \& Automation

AI is becoming an increasingly important part of how Greenarc operates.

You’ll

• Test, analyse and continually improve AI-powered solutions and automated workflows
• Investigate why AI solutions succeed or fail and help improve their performance
• Identify manual and repetitive processes that could be automated
• Use AI-assisted development tools to prototype ideas and solutions
• Help integrate AI capabilities with wider business systems and data
• Measure the performance, adoption and business impact of AI solutions
• Explore emerging AI capabilities and identify practical opportunities for Greenarc

Systems \& Data

You’ll develop a strong understanding of how Greenarc’s technology and data fit together.

You’ll

• Help improve our CRM, internal applications and wider business systems
• Investigate system and data issues and identify root causes
• Work with databases, APIs and system integrations
• Query and analyse data to answer business and technical questions
• Support dashboards, reporting and management information
• Help improve data quality and the flow of information between systems
• Translate business requirements into clear technical requirements

Technology Project Delivery

You’ll help turn ideas into delivered solutions.

You’ll

• Take ownership of smaller technology projects and system improvements
• Support larger strategic technology projects
• Work directly with developers, suppliers and teams across the business
• Turn requirements into clear actions, specifications and development tasks
• Track priorities, dependencies and delivery
• Identify blockers and drive them through to resolution
• Keep stakeholders informed
• Make sure projects deliver the intended business outcome, not simply a completed technical task

Testing \& Continuous Improvement

A major part of the role is making sure what we build actually works.

You’ll

• Coordinate and carry out User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Create structured test scenarios
• Test new features, integrations, automations and AI functionality
• Reproduce, investigate and clearly document issues
• Work with developers to resolve problems and verify fixes
• Gather user feedback and turn it into actionable improvements
• Continually look for opportunities to make our technology and processes better

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who is technically curious, analytical and commercially aware.

You’ll probably be someone who

• Has a genuine interest in AI and emerging technology
• Enjoys understanding how systems work
• Likes investigating and solving problems
• Is comfortable working with data
• Takes ownership and follows things through to completion
• Can manage multiple pieces of work without losing attention to detail
• Communicates confidently with technical and non-technical people
• Is comfortable experimenting with unfamiliar technology
• Learns quickly
• Can increasingly be given a problem rather than a step-by-step set of instructions

We don’t want someone who simply reports that something doesn’t work.

We want someone who asks

What happened? Why did it happen? How should it work? How do we fix it? How do we know we’ve actually fixed it?

Useful experience

You don’t need experience in everything below, but exposure to some of the following would be beneficial:

• Generative AI and LLMs
• AI agents and automation
• CRM and business systems
• SQL and relational databases
• APIs and system integrations
• GitHub
• Data analysis and BI/reporting tools
• Web applications
• Software testing and UAT
• Technology project delivery
• AI-assisted development tools
• Python, JavaScript, TypeScript or another programming language

We’re interested in what you can do, not simply how many technologies you can list on your CV.

Personal projects, experimentation and self-taught experience count too.

What you’ll get

£35,000–£40,000 depending on experience
