We are looking for an AI Automation Engineer to join our growing team. You do not need years of commercial experience. What matters is that you build things, and that you cannot leave a repetitive process alone once you have spotted it.
You will build automations for two audiences. Internally, you will remove the manual work that slows our team down. Externally, you will help deliver automation and AI projects for our clients, taking a business problem and turning it into something that runs reliably without anyone touching it. We work across Microsoft Copilot, Anthropic Claude, and OpenAI ChatGPT, so you will get exposure to all three rather than being tied to one vendor. You will be supported and trained, and you will be building real things from early on.
What you will be doing
* Scoping automation requirements with clients, then designing and building the solution.
* Designing, building, and maintaining automated workflows across our own service delivery stack.
* Building integrations between platforms using REST APIs and webhooks.
* Automating repetitive tasks such as onboarding, offboarding.
* Building AI-driven solutions using the Claude, OpenAI, and Microsoft Copilot APIs, including document processing, ticket classification, summarisation, and drafting.
* Deploying and governing Microsoft 365 Copilot for clients, including licensing, data readiness, and adoption support.
* Building custom agents and assistants in Copilot Studio, Claude, or ChatGPT, and knowing which tool suits which job.
* Writing and refining prompts, then testing them properly so output stays consistent in production.
* Documenting every automation clearly, both for our team and for the client who owns it.
* Handing over completed work properly, including walkthroughs and training where needed.
* Monitoring live automations across multiple client environments, investigating failures, and improving reliability.
* Feeding into project scoping and estimating so we quote automation work accurately.
What we are looking for:
* Genuine enthusiasm for automation and AI. We want to hear what you have built, whether that is at university, in your home, or in a previous job.
* A degree in computer science, software engineering, robotics, or a related field, or equivalent self-taught ability that you can demonstrate.
* Some scripting or programming ability, in PowerShell, Python, JavaScript, or similar. You do not need to be an expert.
* A basic understanding of how APIs work.
* Interest in areas such as home automation, RPA, robotics, self-hosted projects, or personal side projects. Show us the thing you built for yourself by including your GitHub account in your CV.
* Hands-on curiosity about AI tools such as Copilot, Claude, and ChatGPT, and an interest in how they actually work rather than just how to use them.
* The discipline to test your work before you deploy it.
* Good communication skills and a willingness to explain what you have built to people who are not technical.
* Willingness to learn our stack and our clients' environments properly.
Nice to have, but we will teach you:
* Familiarity with the Microsoft 365 and Azure ecosystem, including Entra ID and Intune.
* Exposure to automation platforms such as Power Automate, n8n, or Home Assistant.
* Version control with Git.
If you are the sort of person who automates your own lights, scripts your own backups, or builds tools nobody asked for, we would love to hear from you. Send us a link to something you have made.
