About SapienAI SapienAI is Europe's fastest-growing pure-play Anthropic partner, AI-native from day one and built on 15 years of business change and technology consulting experience. We help ambitious organisations put Claude to work on the use cases that actually deliver business value: activating an everyday AI partner for their people in Cowork, accelerating their engineers with Claude Code, and building agentic solutions that reinvent how day-to-day work gets done. We move fast, because most of our clients don't have the patience for a two-year transformation programme, and neither do we. We don't stop at the technology. We co-build alongside our Customers as trusted advisors, embedded in their teams, and we help them manage the people side of AI adoption. That's what enablement means to us: building the AI fluency and confidence that translates into smarter people, smarter processes, and transformative products for our Customers. About the Role As a Forward Deployed AI Engineer at SapienAI, you'll embed in our Customer’s teams and own the AI work end-to-end, from the first idea through to something running in production and used every day. The role sits between the business and the technology, and you'll need to be comfortable in both. Most engagements start with a business problem: a process that takes too long, a team buried in manual work, a decision that needs better information behind it. From day one you'll be getting Claude and Cowork into people's hands, so the ideas come from the people who do the work day in day out. From there the engagement widens and deepens: more use cases, processes redesigned around what's now possible, agentic applications running in core operations like sales, customer service and finance, and in time the products and services the business sells. You'll typically work with one or two customers at a time, and often come back to them as their use of AI grows. The first thing you build is rarely the last, so part of the job is spotting what should come next while you're delivering what's in front of you. You're the expert in the room on what an AI solution looks like once it's live, and on what has to change around it to keep it working. You'll shape the idea, configure the use case, ship the code, write the specs, and run the enablement workshops for engineers and business teams alike. Role \& Responsibilities: Discover and Ideate * Lead discovery into how a Customer's business actually runs, their processes, systems, data, and where the friction and the pain points are * Elicit AI opportunities and requirements, turning what people describe into something specific enough to build * Help Customers judge which AI use cases are worth building next and which aren't Build and Activate * Embed with Customer teams to co-build use cases and agentic applications on the Claude platform * Build the technical artefacts each solution needs, including evaluation frameworks, MCP servers, sub-agents and deployment configuration, etc. * Demo progress regularly, so stakeholders know where things stand throughout the build * Run unit, system and acceptance testing, and get use cases into production * Work to SapienAI's engineering standards, and review the work of more junior engineers against them Enable and Accelerate * Take customer teams from activation to confident daily use across Claude, Cowork and Code * Run hands-on workshops and training for both technical and business audiences * Advise on what needs to change around the technology - processes, ways of working, and how AI-assisted work gets reviewed and governed * Spot the next use case while you're delivering the current one, so customers keep building on what's already working * Keep customers current on what's newly possible with Claude, so their roadmap moves as the technology does You may be a good fit if you have * 3+ years delivering software or technology projects, with customer-facing or business analysis experience * Business analysis skills, eliciting requirements, mapping business processes and turning customer needs into deliverable solutions * The instinct to spot problems before they surface, and to turn up with options rather than just the problem * The ability to work with business teams as easily as engineering ones, and to explain technical decisions to people who don't work in technology * Strong Python skills and familiarity with modern AI/ML frameworks * Hands-on experience with dev toolchains, CI/CD, modern SDLC practices and cloud-native deployment on AWS, GCP or Azure * A demonstrable interest in AI, whether through personal projects, self-directed learning or hands-on use, along with an awareness of how quickly the industry is moving * You work AI-natively yourself, and are a power user of Claude Code in your own day to day * Comfort working at pace in an agile environment where priorities change, and real excitement about helping us scale a business in its early stages * Readiness to take and pass the CCAR-F certification * You have completed the following Anthropic Academy modules: * Introduction to Agent Skills * Building with the Claude API * Introduction to Model Context Protocol * Claude Code in Action What We Offer: * Be part of Europe's fastest-growing pure-play Anthropic partner, working directly with Anthropic's teams as we grow * Hands-on work with Claude, Claude Code, Cowork and agentic solutions as the technology develops * Work with some of the UK's most recognisable and innovative brands, on initiatives that transform how they operate day to day * The opportunity to shape how we deliver and how the business grows as we scale * A senior, experienced team to work and learn alongside * Funded training, certifications and full access to the Anthropic Academy * Hybrid working, balanced around time on customer sites * Competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package relative to seniority and experience * Regular team socials, knowledge-sharing sessions and company offsites
