Artificial Intelligence Engineer

Job Title: AI Engineer / Senior AI Engineer Salary: £120,000 - £140,000 Base + 20% Bonus + Comprehensive Benefits Location: Hybrid (London) Work Type: Permanent Role: We're partnering with an AI-native software business that's redefining how enterprise AI is built. Responsibilities: * Build AI agents and intelligent workflows using the latest LLM technologies. * Develop cloud-native backend services supporting AI products. * Design Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and context management solutions. * Work closely with Product, Design and Data Engineering to rapidly deliver new features. * Collaborate directly with customers to understand complex business challenges. * Build evaluation frameworks and guardrails to improve AI quality and reliability. * Take products from prototype through to production deployment. Required Skills: * Strong commercial Python development experience. * Experience building production AI or LLM applications. * Knowledge of prompt engineering, AI agents and Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG). * Experience with vector databases, embeddings and backend APIs. * Cloud-native development experience. * Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for building products. * Comfortable working within fast-moving, high-autonomy teams.
