Job Title:
AI Ecosystem Developer
Reports To:
Lauren Bower, Head of Delivery
Job Overview:
To design, build and continuously improve AI solutions that help The Timebank and its clients work more effectively, make better decisions and spend less time on repetitive tasks.
"Artificial Intelligence is changing how people work. We believe most businesses are only scratching the surface of what is possible.
We are looking for someone who shares our belief that technology should make work simpler, more elegant and more enjoyable.
Our ambition is to build an ecosystem of AI solutions across Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Power Platform and Microsoft Copilot. Some of these will be simple micro-agents solving specific problems. Others will be much larger systems supporting entire workflows.
We genuinely do not mind whether you are a recent graduate who lives and breathes AI, or an experienced developer who has spent years building technology solutions. We care far more about your curiosity, creativity and ability to turn ideas into working solutions than we do about the number of years on your CV.
We want someone who enjoys experimentation, embraces change and can challenge conventional ways of working. We expect you to take ownership of problems, communicate clearly and be excited by the opportunity to help shape how an entire business operates.
In return, we offer a unique opportunity to work for one of the most innovative employers in our industry who actively promotes the 'work to live not live to work' ethos, the security of a full PAYE position, the freedom to work from home and the opportunity to help shape a business that genuinely wants to embrace AI."
Managing your expectations:
· AI changes quickly. What works today may need rebuilding tomorrow.
· We are enthusiastic about AI but we are still learning ourselves.
· Not every idea will work. Some experiments will fail.
· We will expect you to challenge existing processes and assumptions.
· We are looking for practical solutions rather than technology for technology's sake.
· You will often need to bridge the gap between technical possibilities and business realities.
· You will have considerable freedom to experiment, but also responsibility for delivering outcomes.
· You will help shape both the technology we use and how we use it.
· We expect you to take responsibility for your own development and stay current with emerging technologies.
· We will support appropriate training, certifications and professional development.
Initial Remuneration \& Benefits:[1]
· Minimum starting salary: £32,000
· Maximum starting salary: No maximum
Uplift to maximum starting salary based on relevant years transferrable experience and directly transferrable qualifications.
· In addition, we provide:
o An auto enrolment pension, including contributions on your behalf.
o Private medical insurance
o Death in service
o 238 hours FTE equivalent holiday (including bank holiday) each year.
o Your birthday (or a selected working day) as an additional holiday each year.
o Support with appropriate exams and training courses.
o A flexible working environment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
· Design, build and maintain AI-powered solutions across the Microsoft ecosystem.
· Develop micro-agents to automate individual tasks and workflows.
· Develop larger AI agents capable of supporting more complex business processes.
· Configure and optimise Microsoft Copilot and Copilot Studio solutions.
· Build solutions using Power Platform technologies where appropriate.
· Integrate solutions with SharePoint, Teams, Outlook and other Microsoft 365 services.
· Work with stakeholders across the business to identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements.
· Map business processes and identify where AI can deliver genuine value.
· Act as a critical friend and challenge existing ways of working.
· Measure and report on productivity improvements, quality improvements and time savings.
· Ensure solutions are secure, robust and appropriately governed.
· Maintain technical documentation and standards.
· Research emerging AI technologies and assess their practical applications.
· Educate and support colleagues in the use of AI tools.
· Maintain CPD.
· Manage your workload and priorities with discipline.
Qualifications/Skills:

Essential
· Genuine enthusiasm for AI and productivity technologies.
· Strong problem-solving skills.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to translate business requirements into practical solutions.
· Strong self-discipline and personal ownership.
· Ability to learn quickly and adapt to emerging technologies.

· Knowledge of prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and agent orchestration.
· Relevant Microsoft certifications.
· Degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science or a related subject.

· You can demonstrate AI projects you have created.
· You get excited by solving awkward operational problems.
· You understand that elegance is often more valuable than complexity.
· You care about outcomes more than technology.
· You believe that AI should enhance people, not replace them.
