You will embed with Risk and Underwriting teams to identify high-value opportunities, build working LLM prototypes, and scale AI-driven solutions that redefine how small businesses access capital. Location London, UK Why this role is remarkable * Lead the AI strategy for a scaling fintech backed by £49M in recent Series A funding, working directly under a CTO with deep ML expertise from Microsoft. * Enjoy an exceptionally high level of autonomy, owning the entire lifecycle from discovery and solo prototyping to production deployment. * Drive tangible business impact by automating complex workflows in risk, underwriting, and collections for hundreds of UK-based SMEs. What You Will Do * Partner with Risk, Collections, and Underwriting teams to diagnose operational bottlenecks and identify high-value AI implementation opportunities. * Build functional end-to-end prototypes using Python or TypeScript, LLMs, RAG, and agents to prove technical feasibility before committing engineering resources. * Own the AI product roadmap, defining clear success metrics and ensuring every initiative aligns with measurable company growth and risk reduction objectives. The ideal candidate * Brings 3–6 years of experience in product management or engineering, ideally with a background as a software engineer, data scientist, or technical founder. * Demonstrates hands-on proficiency in Python or TypeScript with a proven track record of building and shipping applications powered by LLMs. * Possesses strong data fluency with SQL and a commercial mindset to connect technical AI outputs to revenue and operational efficiency.
