We're partnered with a rapidly growing deep-tech company looking for a senior leader to define and execute its enterprise-wide AI transformation strategy. Reporting into executive leadership, you'll build the vision, governance, operating model and roadmap to embed AI across every part of the business, driving the evolution towards an AI-native organisation with three main areas of focus: Executive Reporting, Engineering, Business Operations.
NB this role is not focused on product AI capabilities.
Responsibilities
* Define and deliver the company's AI transformation strategy, aligned to long-term business objectives.
* Build and lead an AI Transformation Office, overseeing AI leaders across engineering, operations and corporate functions.
* Drive adoption of AI agents, automation and AI-enabled workflows to improve productivity and business performance.
* Establish enterprise AI governance covering responsible AI, security, compliance, data governance, model oversight and vendor management.
* Lead organisation-wide change management, AI adoption and capability-building initiatives.
* Identify, prioritise and scale high-impact AI use cases from pilot through to enterprise deployment.
* Define KPIs, measure ROI and report transformation progress to executive leadership.
* Partner across engineering, IT, finance, HR and operations to ensure AI initiatives deliver measurable business value.
* Stay ahead of emerging AI technologies and build relationships across the wider AI ecosystem.
Requirements
* 10+ years' experience in AI strategy, enterprise technology, business transformation or digital transformation leadership.
* Proven experience leading large-scale organisational transformation programmes.
* Strong understanding of generative AI, agentic AI, automation and enterprise AI platforms.
* Experience designing enterprise operating models, governance frameworks and AI adoption programmes.
* Excellent executive stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership skills.
* Ability to translate emerging AI technologies into measurable commercial outcomes.
* Experience managing and recruiting engineering teams.
