Synapri are working on behalf of one of their consulting partners looking for a Data Scientist to join one of their well-recognised customers in their journey Insights team, where you'll use machine learning, NLP and Generative AI to transform customer interaction data into insights and scalable data science solutions. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving complex business problems, working with structured and unstructured data, and taking models from concept through to production! Location: 2x weekly travel in either Hertfordshire or West London Rate: Inside IR35 Duration: Initial 6 months What you'll be doing * Deliver end-to-end data science solutions, from problem definition and feature engineering through to deployment and monitoring. * Apply machine learning, NLP and GenAI techniques to customer interaction data, including text classification, summarisation, embeddings and LLM-powered workflows. * Build and optimise robust data pipelines and production-ready models in a cloud environment. * Work closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities, communicate insights and influence business decisions. * Share best practice and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing data science team. What we're looking for * Proven experience delivering end-to-end data science solutions in a commercial environment. * Strong Python, SQL and PySpark skills. * Experience working with structured and unstructured data, applying NLP and GenAI techniques. * Experience deploying models into the cloud (Azure preferred) with CI/CD and monitoring. * Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical findings into clear business recommendations. Desirable: Experience with PyTorch, MLflow, DBT, Databricks Asset Bundles and Databricks AI Functions.
