Machine Learning Engineer | Contract * Term: 3 Months * Fully Remote * Up to £650pd (Inside iR35 if UK based) I am hiring ML engineers for one of the biggest names in global tech, working on the algorithmic systems that make automated decisions at scale across a large marketplace. The work sits across two areas. Supply and pricing, so how a fixed budget gets spent to mobilise supply against live demand, using levers like base pay, search pricing and dispatch logic. And the prediction side, so the time and duration models that feed dispatch, supply side pay and everything the end user sees. Depending on background there is scope in causal modelling and optimisation, or in redesigning and consolidating model architecture across platforms. This is real time operational decisioning at volume, not a research bench. You would own solutions end to end, from concept through to production code with measurable impact, working in cross functional squads alongside engineers, data scientists and product. Tech Python | PySpark | gradient boosted trees and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow | feature stores and large scale data pipelines | Kubernetes and cloud native deployment | experimentation and causal inference tooling What I am looking for Genuine ML engineering credentials rather than software engineering with some modelling attached. Deep grounding in ML fundamentals and the judgement to know when to apply them. Demonstrated ownership of end to end productionisation. A bias for simplicity and business impact over theoretical complexity. Product company background preferred.
