The Role
As a Principal Machine Learning Engineer, you'll play a key role in shaping the future of the ML function while remaining hands-on with model development and platform engineering.
You'll be responsible for:
* Setting technical direction across machine learning systems and infrastructure
* Building and optimising recommendation systems, bidding algorithms and audience targeting models
* Developing LTV, churn and attribution models used in production
* Leading work across MLOps, model monitoring, automated retraining and ML observability
* Improving ML platforms, deployment pipelines and experimentation frameworks
* Partnering with engineering and business leaders to align technical decisions with commercial goals
* Mentoring experienced engineers and contributing to architecture decisions
* Driving best practice across machine learning engineering and production systems
Your Skills \& Experience
* Strong experience building and deploying machine learning models in production
* Excellent Python skills and experience with frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
* A solid background in MLOps, model lifecycle management and production ML systems
* Experience working on recommendation systems, optimisation problems or predictive modelling
* Strong software engineering fundamentals and an interest in scalable systems
* Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to a range of stakeholders
* Experience in AdTech, programmatic advertising, DSPs or real-time bidding would be highly advantageous
* A PhD in a STEM subject would be a bonus, not a requirement
