Engineering Lead – AI Adoption \& SDLC Transformation Manchester or Croydon | Hybrid Initial 6-Month Contract - Outside IR35 A leading PE backed defense technology organisation is seeking an Engineering Lead to drive the adoption of AI-enabled software engineering practices across its development teams. This is an engineering transformation role, focused on embedding AI into the software development lifecycle, coaching engineering teams, and driving adoption of modern engineering methodologies rather than hands-on software development. Requirements: • Experience leading large-scale engineering or SDLC transformation programmes • Strong understanding of software engineering governance and secure development practices • Experience coaching and influencing engineering teams • Familiarity with AI-enabled engineering practices and modern SDLC methodologies • Experience within enterprise or highly regulated environments preferred Responsibilities: • Drive adoption of AI-enabled engineering practices across development teams • Embed new methodologies and ways of working within the SDLC • Coach engineers on AI-assisted software development • Partner with engineering leadership to deliver lasting organisational change • Help translate AI strategy into practical engineering delivery If you're interested in leading AI adoption across enterprise engineering teams, we'd love to hear from you.
