Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Gen-AI Python Engineer to join a high-profile enterprise programme focused on developing cutting-edge AI solutions. This role involves building end-to-end GenAI and RAG applications, integrating data from multiple enterprise systems, and delivering scalable, production-grade AI workflows. You'll work closely with architects, platform teams and business stakeholders to develop secure, high-performing AI solutions that drive business value.

£400 per day inside IR 35
* Contract Length:
Until 31/12/2026

Key Responsibilities:
* Design and develop enterprise-scale GenAI and RAG-based applications using Python.
* Integrate structured and unstructured data sources including databases, APIs, files and document repositories.
* Build document and image processing pipelines using OCR, document intelligence and data extraction tools.
* Develop and optimise retrieval pipelines including chunking, embedding generation, indexing, metadata tagging, filtering and reranking.
* Implement solutions leveraging vector databases and semantic search technologies.
* Build integrations with SQL/NoSQL and enterprise data platforms for enrichment and querying.
* Establish robust evaluation frameworks to measure accuracy, relevance, groundedness and hallucination rates against defined benchmarks.
Key Requirements:
* Strong hands-on experience building Generative AI and LLM-based applications.
* Proven experience developing RAG solutions in enterprise environments.
* Excellent Python development skills with experience building scalable APIs and services.
* Strong knowledge of document parsing, OCR and image-based information extraction.
* Experience with vector databases, embeddings and semantic search technologies.
* Experience working with SQL/NoSQL databases and enterprise data integration patterns.
Additional Information
* Experience with Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search or the wider Azure AI ecosystem is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with AI evaluation frameworks, observability and monitoring tools would be advantageous.
* Experience working within enterprise security, governance and compliance standards is beneficial.
* Previous exposure to high-volume document processing environments is preferred.
