The Opportunity
As an AI Business Engagement Lead, you'll be the business-facing gateway into our AI and Automation Centre of Excellence. Working with teams across EDF, you'll help identify, assess, shape and progress AI opportunities, turning early ideas into clear plans that create value and support our journey towards An Electric Britain.
You’ll join us on a starting salary of £57,000 per annum, with the potential for an annual bonus. This role offers complete flexibility on location, with occasional travel to our UK-based EDF sites as needed. You’ll enjoy the freedom to work in a way that suits you while staying connected to colleagues across the business.
You’ll work at the forefront of AI adoption, engaging senior stakeholders, influencing decision-making and helping teams navigate AI confidently and responsibly. Who You Are
We’re looking for an AI Business Engagement Lead who can build relationships quickly, think strategically and translate between business and technical audiences. You’ll be comfortable working with ambiguity, shaping conversations and helping stakeholders move from ideas to action. To be shortlisted, you need to offer…
* Proven experience in business engagement, business analysis, advisory, transformation, change, digital or technology roles
* Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience engaging and influencing senior business stakeholders
* Experience turning ambiguous business needs into structured problem statements, use cases, roadmaps, prioritised opportunities and actionable next steps, including assessing value, readiness and delivery considerations
* Practical understanding of AI capabilities, data, platforms, integration, security, Responsible AI, business readiness and technology delivery considerations
* Experience operating within governance frameworks, service models or operating models with defined routing and escalation processes
* Experience facilitating workshops, shaping discussions and coordinating actions across multiple stakeholders
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear summaries, recommendations and decision support materials
* Experience identifying patterns, recurring demand and opportunities for improvement across portfolios, programmes or business initiatives
* Confidence to constructively challenge AI ideas, ask the right questions and guide stakeholders towards the most appropriate solution, including non AI routes where these may deliver better outcomes
What You’ll Be Doing
* Providing business engagement and advisory support to teams exploring AI opportunities and use cases
* Shaping early-stage demand into clear problem statements, value hypotheses and practical next steps, helping stakeholders assess value, readiness, dependencies and the most appropriate route forward
* Guiding stakeholders to the right AI and Automation Centre of Excellence services, expertise, governance and support routes
* Coordinating specialist input and ensuring opportunities are progressed consistently and effectively
* Challenging and refining AI opportunities where appropriate, helping teams understand when AI is the right solution and when existing tools, process improvements or alternative approaches may deliver better outcomes
* Capturing insights, trends and recurring demand themes to improve AI services, guidance and adoption across EDF
