Founding Engineer/CTO-Decentralised AI- VC Firm

About the company: This is the technical arm of a new VC- backing startups that use protocols like Bittensor to gain an edge over traditional AI companies. About the role: First technical hire, and the most senior. They will own the entire technical stack: subnet analytics products, research and due-diligence tooling, on-chain data pipelines, and infrastructure monitoring. They set the engineering bar and hire the team behind them over the next 12 months. Direct daily work with the founders. Job Requirement: * 10+ years backend / ML systems experience; has shipped real products to production * Strong Python; Rust or CUDA a bonus * Genuine ML engineering experience - trained or served models, optimised inference (vLLM, SGLang or similar) * Solid distributed-systems footing: Kubernetes, observability, real production failure experience * Crypto / on-chain fluency, or the curiosity to ramp very fast - hands-on Bittensor experience is a major plus * Founding-engineer mentality: ownership, ambiguity tolerance, builds without a spec Desired Skills and Experience decentralised AI; Bittensor; Python; Rust Robert Walters Operations Limited is an employment business and employment agency and welcomes applications from all candidates
