JOB TITLE: Technical Business Analyst (AI Transformation) REFERENCE: CONTRACT: Contract (12 Months) / Daily Rate £172 Inside IR35 12-month contract Currently Hybrid 2-3 days in the office, potential movement to 5 days a week in the office, 1. Purpose of the Role The Technical Business Analyst (AI Transformation) plays a critical role in shaping, driving, and scaling an organization's Digital, AI, and Automation capabilities. This position is accountable for identifying high-impact opportunities to apply AI across the business (including commercial operations, customer services, product development, and internal business functions), designing AI-first operational processes, and leading the end-to-end design and implementation of AI-enabled solutions. Acting as a trusted advisor to senior business and technology stakeholders, the role drives new ways of working, embeds operational excellence, reduces manual effort through intelligent automation, and develops internal AI tools that enhance product, finance, and operational teams. The role requires a combination of hands-on technical prototyping skills and strong commercial and analytical capability to translate business strategy into production-ready AI solutions. 2. Key Accountabilities AI Opportunity \& Process Innovation * Redesign operational processes using an AI-first approach. * Identify and eliminate manual, repetitive, and low-value activities through intelligent automation. * Evaluate opportunities based on current technological capabilities rather than legacy practices. Requirements Analysis \& Solution Design * Analyse end-to-end business processes to assess the impact of AI-enabled transformation. * Produce functional specifications, user journeys, business scenarios, and acceptance criteria. * Collaborate with AI engineers, data specialists, and technical teams to design scalable, secure, and effective AI solutions. Adoption \& Implementation * Act as the primary business partner supporting the transition from strategy through to production deployment. * Identify and remove barriers to AI adoption, including process, capability, data, and organisational readiness. * Package successful AI use cases for replication across multiple business areas. * Monitor stakeholder progress against agreed implementation milestones. AI Development \& Enablement * Develop and maintain a library of reusable prompts, AI assistants, autonomous agents, and automation assets. * Assess feasibility, define data requirements, develop prototypes, and scale successful AI solutions. * Improve organisational AI capability through demonstrations, coaching, and practical guidance. Data, Automation \& Reporting * Improve knowledge management and data preparation processes to support AI initiatives. * Develop automated tools for recurring analysis, dashboards, and executive reporting. * Collaborate with enterprise technology teams on system integrations where required. Portfolio \& Value Creation * Measure AI adoption and business value delivered. * Produce technical documentation and knowledge-sharing materials supporting AI adoption. Quality Assurance * Define testing scenarios, validate AI outputs, and support implementation and production readiness. 3. Scope \& Relationships * Key Stakeholders: Internal business stakeholders, technology teams, AI engineers, and data specialists. * Geographic Scope: Supports regional business operations. 4. Education \& Qualifications * Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related discipline. * Relevant professional certifications are desirable but not essential. 5. Required Skills \& Attributes Technical \& Functional Expertise * Experience delivering AI-enabled business solutions. * Working knowledge of Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), AI agents, intelligent document processing, and human-in-the-loop workflows. * Experience defining user journeys, business scenarios, and acceptance criteria for AI solutions. * Understanding of data privacy and Responsible AI principles. Methodologies \& Tools * Experience delivering projects using Agile methodologies (Scrum and/or Kanban) with Jira and Confluence. * Strong analytical skills with the ability to convert technical insights into business value. Communication \& Stakeholder Management * Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to produce high-quality business and technical documentation. * Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience working across both technical and non-technical teams. 6. Experience Essential * Proven experience designing, developing, validating, and deploying AI solutions into production environments, including LLMs, AI agents, workflow automation, or similar technologies. * Experience delivering AI solutions within complex enterprise organisations. Desirable * Experience working within large, regulated organisations. * Strong understanding of transitioning AI solutions from Proof of Concept (PoC) through to enterprise-scale production deployment. 7. Working Hours * Standard: 37.5 hours per week. * Flexibility: Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to support critical incidents or key project milestones.
