Robotics is approaching a defining moment.
Artificial intelligence transformed how we interact with language. The next breakthrough will transform how machines interact with the physical world. Be a part of it.
Build a new generation of AI enabling robots to learn. They will pick up complex tasks from a single demonstration due to this technology. No need for months of programming, extensive data collection or thousands of examples, the technology allows robots to learn almost instantly. Simply show the robot what to do and it can begin performing the task with immense degrees of accuracy. Changing robotics forever.
This fundamentally different approach stems from years of scientific research and a series of breakthroughs in simulation, robotics and machine learning. It has already attracted significant backing from leading investors and now they are assembling a small team of exceptional engineers to help define what comes next. This is a talent dense organisation, you'll have a voice and a stake in the company.
Take ownership of the infrastructure that powers the AI training. This is not a conventional infrastructure role. You will work at the intersection of machine learning, distributed systems, cloud computing and robotics, building the platforms that enable cutting edge research to become production-ready technology. You may need to build a platform no one else has before, exciting right?
Design and scale the systems that support large-scale model training, improve the efficiency of distributed workloads, and develop the tooling that enables researchers to experiment rapidly and deploy new ideas with confidence. You will become a part of the founding team, helping to solve some of the most challenging engineering problems in modern AI, influencing the technical direction of the company from an early stage.
Engineers may come with experience building high-performance infrastructure for machine learning or other compute-intensive workloads. You may have worked in AI infrastructure, platform engineering, high performance computing or a related field. Experience with distributed training, GPU orchestration, cloud infrastructure, modern deep learning frameworks and production software engineering will be valuable, although we care far more about your ability to solve complex technical problems than the title on your CV.
The people who will thrive here are naturally curious, deeply technical and motivated by difficult problems. They enjoy building new systems rather than maintaining existing ones, are comfortable working across research and engineering, and want the freedom to make meaningful technical decisions from the outset.
If you are looking for an opportunity to help build technology that will redefine robotics, alongside an ambitious and highly collaborative team, we would love to hear from you.
