Senior Data and AI Engineer An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Data Engineer to join a fast-growing, venture-backed technology business operating at the forefront of AI, robotics, and intelligent automation. Joining at a key stage of the company's growth, you'll play a central role in designing and developing scalable data infrastructure, building robust data pipelines, and helping shape the future of the organisation's data platform. What you'll be doing * Designing and building modern, scalable data platforms * Developing reliable ETL/ELT pipelines and data models * Working closely with software, AI and engineering teams * Improving data quality, accessibility and governance * Applying AI-powered tools and automation to enhance engineering workflows * Helping define best practices and the long-term data strategy What we're looking for * Strong commercial experience as a Data Engineer * Excellent SQL and Python skills * Experience with cloud-based data platforms * Strong understanding of data modelling and data architecture * Experience building scalable, production-grade data pipelines * Demonstrated experience using AI tooling and automation (including LLMs and modern AI-assisted development tools) to improve engineering workflows and solve real business problems * A proactive engineer who enjoys ownership and solving complex technical challenges Desirable * Experience within AI, robotics, autonomous systems or other deep-tech environments * Previous experience working in a start-up or high-growth scale-up Location: Oxfordshire (Hybrid – 2 days per week onsite) If you're looking for an opportunity to join an innovative technology company where you can have a genuine impact while remaining hands-on technically, we'd love to hear from you.
