Technical Co-Founder (Founding CTO) – AI & Data Platform

Visspo is building the UK's leading AI-powered visa sponsorship job platform. Every year, thousands of international students and skilled professionals waste months applying to jobs that are never going to sponsor a work visa. We're changing that. Our platform combines intelligent job crawling, AI-powered job analysis, sponsorship verification, and personalised job matching to help international talent find genuine sponsorship opportunities faster. We have already built and launched our MVP and are now looking for a Technical Co-Founder to help scale the product into a category-leading platform. About the Role This is not a typical CTO position. We're looking for someone who wants to build a company from the ground up. As Technical Co-Founder, you'll own the technical vision of Visspo and work closely with the founder to shape the future of the platform. You'll have the opportunity to build technology that could help thousands of international professionals worldwide. Key Responsibilities * Lead the technical vision and product architecture. * Improve and scale our job crawling infrastructure. * Build AI-powered matching and recommendation systems. * Design scalable backend services and APIs. * Improve data quality, automation and performance. * Build new product features from idea to production. * Ensure platform security, reliability and scalability. * Help recruit and mentor future engineering team members. * Participate in strategic product discussions and technical decision-making. * Support technical discussions during fundraising and accelerator applications. Preferred Skills * Strong experience with TypeScript and Node.js * Experience with React * PostgreSQL or similar databases * API design and backend architecture * AI/LLM integrations * Data engineering and ETL pipelines * Web crawling and scraping * Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure) * Git and CI/CD workflows We're looking for someone who is: * Passionate about startups * Ambitious and long-term focused * Creative and product-minded * A strong problem solver * Comfortable taking ownership * Interested in building a global technology company * Excited by solving real-world problems through technology Startup experience is a bonus, but mindset matters more than titles.
