ETFGI is seeking a highly motivated ETF Data Analyst to join our London-based team and contribute to research covering the global Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) and Exchange Traded Product (ETP) industry.

The Opportunity
As an ETF Data Analyst, you will work directly with ETFGI's research team to analyse market trends, maintain and enhance our proprietary databases, and contribute to research relied upon by investment professionals around the world.
You will work with large financial datasets and have the opportunity to apply artificial intelligence (AI), large language models (LLMs), data analytics platforms, and automation tools to improve research workflows, data management, report production, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
* Support the production of ETFGI's monthly and quarterly research reports.
* Analyse global ETF industry data, including assets, flows, performance, and product launches.
* Work with large datasets across multiple countries and exchanges.
* Respond to ad hoc research requests and client enquiries.
* Collect, validate, reconcile, and maintain ETF industry data.
* Create charts, tables, dashboards, and presentations.
* Communicate with ETF issuers and market participants globally.
* Assist in developing new research products and services.
* Maintain and improve operational processes and documentation.
* Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements.
* Evaluate and apply AI tools and large language models to enhance research, data analysis, workflow efficiency, and content production.
* Work with technology solutions that support data extraction, validation, summarisation, visualisation, and reporting.
What We're Looking For
Essential
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Business, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related discipline.
* Strong interest in financial markets and investing.
* Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large datasets.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Power BI.
* Curiosity about emerging technologies and how AI can be applied in business and research environments.
Desirable
* Knowledge of ETFs, investment products, or asset management.
* Experience using Python, SQL, VBA, R, or other programming languages.
* Experience with data visualisation tools.
* Understanding of artificial intelligence, machine learning, generative AI, and large language models (LLMs).
* Experience using tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar AI platforms.
* Experience applying AI tools to analyse data, automate workflows, conduct research, or improve operational efficiency.
* Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated outputs and ensure accuracy, consistency, and data integrity.
* Internship or work experience within financial services, research, consulting, analytics, fintech, or data science.
* Project management experience.
