Senior Data Protection & AI Governance Lawyer — Consultant Role

The Role We're looking for an experienced senior lawyer in data protection and AI governance to join our consultant team. This is a part-time, flexible arrangement for someone who's ready to work independently and own client relationships. What you'll do: * Lead complex data protection and AI governance projects for established companies * Advise on GDPR/UK GDPR compliance, data protection impact assessments, processor agreements, and governance frameworks * Handle AI governance assessments, policy development, and risk mitigation for clients deploying AI systems * Provide strategic counsel to General Counsel, Data Protection Officers, and technology teams * Take ownership of client relationships with minimal oversight The specifics: * Hours: Approximately 20–30 hours per month (flexible) * Rate: Around £125/hour (depending on the client) * Structure: Consultant basis * Location: Remote Who You Are You're a specialist data protection and AI governance lawyer with substantial experience working independently.
