AI Software Engineer

We are working with an early-stage startup that is building an innovative workflow and intelligence platform powered by agentic AI, multimodal analysis, and domain-specific insight. The Role * Build the end-to-end architecture, security, performance, and integration of the platform * Work closely with the Head of Product to transform specs and prototypes into production-quality code * Lead the development of complex AI applications utilising LLMs and agentic workflows * Contribute to building out the engineering function, including hiring, structuring, and mentoring * Take on a hands-on lead engineering role with a clear path to CTO as the company scales What You'll Need * Deep Firebase expertise (Firestore, Cloud Run, Auth, Security Rules) building production systems * Demonstrable experience building and deploying complex AI applications using LLMs and agentic workflows * Familiarity with vector databases (e.g., pgvector, ChromaDB, Pinecone) * Strong desire to lead and grow into a CTO role What's On Offer * Fully remote work with frequent team meetups * Stock options in a rapidly scaling company * Excellent opportunities for progression and development Apply via Haystack today!
