About the role We are developing a unified AI platform that powers candidate sourcing, outreach, phone screening, interview support, client pitches, candidate preparation etc. A lot of it already works as a prototype so you'd be the engineer who makes it solid enough to run every day on real candidate and client data. You'll have a real say in the technical decisions, and this isn't a role where you pick tickets off a queue. This is a permanent and remote job on the team, not a short contract to come in and patch things up. The tools you build for us are also ones we plan to sell to clients later, so they need to be built properly from the start. What you'd be doing * Taking prototypes the rest of the way: tests, CI/CD, monitoring, error handling, and clean rollbacks. * Owning data security end-to-end: auth, secrets, data in transit and at rest. We hold real candidate data. GDPR matters and SOC 2 is on the roadmap. * Keeping AI features reliable: guardrails, quality monitoring, cost control. * Getting infrastructure into a reproducible state, not hand-built and hoped for. * Scaling from single agents to a multi-agent platform that handles real load when clients connect. * Making the architecture decisions that need to hold up over time, and being able to explain the thinking. How we'll start you off * We won't ask you to build the whole thing at once. You'd take the one piece that's causing the most pain right now and get a small, properly built version of it live, with real auth, safe data handling, guardrails on the AI parts, and basic CI/CD and monitoring. * You’ll have autonomy, real ownership of your work, and a say in how things are done, with a seat at the table when decisions are made. What we are looking for - Essential * You've shipped AI applications or agents into production and run them. This is the big one. * You understand security and reliability for apps holding personal data and you can walk us through real decisions you've made. * You've made AI features genuinely production-ready: evaluation, guardrails, cost management. * You can build full-stack and ship. * You're comfortable owning infrastructure solo, and you don't let tech debt pile up. Nice to have * Terraform or Pulumi, or a cloud certification. * Security or compliance background (threat modelling, SOC 2). * Voice AI experience (e.g. ElevenLabs): We do phone screening.
