**AI People Global is conducting a confidential global search for senior Partner - level leaders capable of building AI Security, Safety \& Responsible AI businesses within major professional-services environments

This is a Category-Defining Leadership Role

Senior Partner – AI Security, Safety \& Responsible AI

AI Security | Frontier AI | Agentic AI | Responsible AI | AI Governance | Model Risk | Cyber Security

AI is rapidly moving beyond copilots and isolated use cases towards autonomous systems capable of reasoning, accessing enterprise systems, executing actions and interacting with other AI agents.

The question facing boards is changing.

It is no longer simply

“How do we adopt AI?”

It is increasingly

“How do we ensure increasingly autonomous AI systems remain secure, controllable, trustworthy and aligned with the interests of the organisation?”

AI People Global is conducting a confidential search for an exceptional senior executive to build and lead a new AI Security, Safety \& Responsible AI capability within a major global professional services organisation.

This is not a conventional technology-risk or Responsible AI role.

We are looking for someone capable of creating what we believe will become one of the most important advisory capabilities of the next decade: helping global organisations safely deploy increasingly powerful AI systems while protecting themselves against emerging security, governance, ethical and systemic risks.

The successful individual will operate at the intersection of AI, cybersecurity, model safety, governance, ethics, regulation and enterprise transformation.

The mandate

The Partner will build a market-leading capability advising boards, CEOs, CIOs, CISOs, Chief AI Officers, CROs and regulators on the risks created by advanced AI systems.

The role will include responsibility for

  • Building and leading a global AI Security, Safety \& Responsible AI practice.
  • Advising boards and executive teams on the security and control implications of frontier and agentic AI.
  • Designing enterprise frameworks for the safe deployment of autonomous AI systems and agents.
  • AI threat modelling, model security, agent security and adversarial testing.
  • AI red teaming, model evaluation and safety testing.
  • Protecting AI models, data, weights, prompts, infrastructure and intellectual property.
  • Designing controls against prompt injection, model manipulation, data exfiltration, agent compromise and emerging AI-enabled cyber threats.
  • Developing governance for AI systems capable of taking increasingly autonomous decisions and actions.
  • AI alignment, human oversight, escalation and control mechanisms.
  • Responsible AI, ethics, fairness, transparency and explainability.
  • AI model risk management and independent AI assurance.
  • AI incident response and operational resilience.
  • Translating emerging AI regulation and policy into practical enterprise controls.
  • Advising regulated and strategically important organisations on high-consequence AI deployment.
  • Working across cybersecurity, technology, risk, legal, data, engineering and board governance functions.
  • Building new commercial propositions around AI security and safety.
  • Originating and leading major client engagements.
  • Recruiting and developing a world-class multidisciplinary team.
  • Establishing the organisation as a leading global voice on the responsible deployment of advanced AI.

Who we are looking for

There is deliberately no conventional career template for this search.

Potential candidates may currently be

Partner / Managing Director / Senior Managing Director within a major consulting or professional services organisation;

Chief AI Officer, Chief Information Security Officer or Responsible AI leader within a global enterprise;

a senior leader from a frontier AI laboratory, AI-security organisation or AI-safety institute;

a recognised authority in AI security, model evaluation, alignment, adversarial testing or AI governance;

or an exceptional cybersecurity leader whose work has moved deeply into advanced AI systems.

However, the strongest candidates are likely to demonstrate an unusual combination of:

Deep AI understanding.

You understand modern foundation models, GenAI and increasingly autonomous/agentic systems sufficiently well to challenge engineers and technical AI teams.

Security credibility.

You understand how AI changes the threat landscape — both AI being used offensively and AI systems themselves becoming new attack surfaces.

Responsible AI expertise.

You can move beyond principles and policy into practical governance, controls, evaluation, monitoring and assurance.

Board-level presence.

You can explain highly technical and potentially systemic risks clearly to CEOs, boards, regulators and investors.

Commercial leadership.

This is a Partner role. You must be capable of creating propositions, originating senior client conversations and building a substantial advisory business.

Practice-building capability.

We are interested in people who want to create something, not simply inherit an existing practice.

Areas of particular interest

We would particularly like to meet executives with expertise across several of the following:

AI / Agent Security

Frontier Model Security

AI Red Teaming

Adversarial Machine Learning

Model Evaluations

Agentic AI Governance

AI Alignment \& Control

Responsible AI

AI Assurance / Audit

Model Risk Management

Cybersecurity

AI Governance

AI Ethics

AI Regulation

Operational Resilience

AI Incident Response

AI Safety Engineering

AI Risk Quantification

Why this role is different

Many organisations have Responsible AI programmes.

Very few yet have an executive-level capability bringing together:

Security + Safety + Governance + Ethics + Enterprise AI + Commercial Advisory.

That is what this individual will build.

As AI systems become more capable and increasingly autonomous, we believe this discipline will become a major new professional-services market in its own right.

The person appointed will have the opportunity to help define it.

The opportunity

This is a senior Partner-level appointment with significant scope to build a team, proposition and international client portfolio.

Compensation

Highly competitive Partner-level package

Indicative base £500-£700k with significant performance-related upside, profit participation and/or equity depending on structure and seniority (range £1-3m)

Total compensation however is expected to be materially higher for the right individual.

We are particularly interested in executives who believe that AI security and safety will become as strategically important to enterprises as cybersecurity itself — and who want to build the advisory business that helps organisations navigate that transition.

Confidential discussions are welcomed.
