Legal Technologist/ AI Consultant – Permanent – London (Hybrid, 3 days a week in the office)- £55,000- £73,000

My client, a global Law Firm, is looking for an experienced Legal Technologist/ AI Consultant to join the team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will have previous Legal experience with a passion for introducing and integrating AI within the legal sector. The Legal Technologist/ AI Consultant will have strong communication skills and be comfortable discussing opportunities with partners and lawyers to identify new ways of working.

Key duties

• Identifying, delivering and evolving legal technology and AI solutions across the firm.
• Leading and delivering Legal Tech and AI projects from concept through to implementation and adoption.
• Evaluating, testing and developing use cases for generative AI tools and agent-based workflows.
• Supporting the development of AI-enabled solutions, prompt libraries, playbooks and knowledge assets.
• Exploring new AI capabilities, conducting proof-of-concept testing and assessing emerging technologies.
• Providing training, guidance and enablement support to drive user adoption.
• Helping shape the firm's AI and Legal Tech strategy through market awareness, experimentation and thought leadership.

Experience \& Skills

Essential

• Experience working within a law firm, alternative legal services provider, legal operations function or legal technology environment.
• Strong understanding of legal workflows, legal documentation and the operational realities of legal practice.
• Experience delivering Legal Tech, automation or AI-related projects.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience working with generative AI tools and prompt engineering.
• Ability to assess business requirements and design practical technology solutions.
• Understanding of legal technology adoption and change management.

Desirable

• Experience with Legal Tech platforms such as HighQ, Harvey, Legora or similar tools.
• Experience developing, testing or configuring AI agents and workflows.
• Knowledge of document automation platforms and legal process automation.
• Familiarity with APIs, integrations, scripting languages, Python, SQL or similar technologies.
• Experience evaluating AI models, outputs and governance considerations.
• Exposure to knowledge management, playbook development or AI-enabled legal service delivery.
