About the Role
LDM Properties is looking for an AI Engineer to help us develop and deploy AI-powered automation across our property management and lettings operations.
This is a practical, hands-on role. We are not looking for someone focused purely on AI research or model training. The successful candidate will be responsible for deploying AI agents, integrating our existing business platforms, automating workflows and building reliable AI systems that can operate safely in a real business environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure and maintain AI agents for day-to-day business operations.
- Develop AI workflows for email handling, property management, lettings, maintenance, document processing and internal administration.
- Research, develop and maintain API integrations between platforms including monday.com, Slack, DPS, InventoryBase and other property-management systems.
- Build automated workflows that allow AI agents to read, process and update information across different business systems.
- Deploy and manage AI-powered robots / robotic automation, including integration between AI agents and physical robotic systems where applicable.
- Develop automated processing for documents such as tenancy documents, invoices, inspection reports and PDFs.
- Evaluate and integrate different LLMs and AI APIs, including cloud and locally deployed models.
- Design appropriate security, access-control and permission policies for AI agents.
- Implement backup, disaster-recovery, logging and monitoring procedures.
- Protect company, landlord and tenant data and ensure AI systems are designed with GDPR and data security in mind.
- Test AI workflows before production deployment and monitor their reliability after deployment.
- Troubleshoot integrations, APIs, authentication and automation failures.
- Maintain clear technical documentation for all AI systems and integrations.
- Research new AI tools and identify practical opportunities to improve productivity and reduce repetitive manual work.
Requirements
- Degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Robotics or another closely related discipline.
- Relevant professional experience in AI engineering, software engineering, automation or systems integration.
- Practical experience working with LLMs, AI agents and APIs.
- Strong programming skills, preferably Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience with REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth and third-party SaaS integrations.
- Experience deploying applications or AI services in production environments.
- Good understanding of databases, cloud services and system architecture.
- Understanding of cybersecurity, permissions, data protection and backup strategies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to independently research unfamiliar systems and APIs.
- Able to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.
Experience with monday.com, Slack, property-management software, RPA/browser automation, local LLM deployment, MCP or robotic systems would be advantageous but is not essential.
Working Arrangement
This is a hybrid position, with significant flexibility
4 days per week working from home
1 day per week based in our High Wycombe office
The role would suit someone who enjoys independently building and experimenting with new AI technology while also working directly with company directors to turn ideas into working business systems.
