Generative AI Engineer

About us Pinix Legal is a UK immigration law firm regulated by the IAA. We act for Vietnamese-speaking clients on asylum and protection, modern slavery, family reunion, partner visas and settlement. Our caseload is high volume and document-heavy. The role We are building our own internal software to automate document production, data extraction and client correspondence. You will own that build. This is a permanent, continuous role, not a one-off project. This role is hybrid. You work remotely, with one day in the office each month. What you will do * Build and maintain AI/ML tools for our case management and document workflows * Write and deploy Python and SQL code * Integrate LLM features: retrieval, prompt design, evaluation * Automate document generation and case data extraction * Maintain data security and access controls in line with our IAA obligations * Monitor and improve model accuracy What you need * A degree in computer science, software engineering or data science * 5+ years' commercial production experience * Practical machine learning and LLM experience * Strong Python * Experience handling confidential personal data under data protection law What we offer * Salary up to £60,000 per year * Hybrid working, one office day per month * Annual leave in line with UK statutory entitlement * Workplace pension Nice to have * Vietnamese language skills — most of our clients and much of our case material is in Vietnamese
