Machine Learning Engineer – LLMs *Want to build LLM-powered systems that have to work reliably in the real world?* We’re looking for an exceptional Machine Learning Engineer to help build and deploy production-grade AI systems , with a particular focus on LLMs and modern generative AI. This isn’t a research-only role. You’ll work across models, data, evaluation and production systems - turning the latest advances in AI into reliable, high-impact products. What you’ll do * Build and ship LLM-powered features and systems into production * Design robust evaluation frameworks to measure and improve model performance * Experiment with prompting, fine-tuning, retrieval and agentic approaches * Build data and ML pipelines that support rapid experimentation at scale * Optimise models and inference for latency, reliability and cost * Work closely with software, product and domain experts to solve difficult real-world problems * Help shape the company’s ML architecture, tooling and technical direction You’ll ideally bring: * Excellent Python and software engineering skills * Strong experience with PyTorch and modern ML tooling * Hands-on experience building applications with LLMs * A strong understanding of transformers, embeddings and modern NLP * Experience with LLM evaluation, fine-tuning, RAG and/or agentic systems * Experience taking ML models from experimentation through to production * Strong judgement around model quality, data, performance and trade-offs What’s on offer * Competitive salary + equity * 7% pension * Private healthcare * Free daily meals * Significant technical ownership from day one * The opportunity to build cutting-edge AI that gets deployed in the real world You’ll need the right to work in the UK and be eligible for UK SC clearance .
