The opportunity Fleet UK and WAVMob are investing in a company-wide programme to improve how we use artificial intelligence, data, automation and connected business systems. We are looking for an ambitious graduate or junior professional to help design and deliver practical solutions across sales, customer engagement, vehicle stock, contract hire, operations and management reporting. Approximately 60% of the role will focus on AI, data, automation and digital transformation projects. The remaining 40% will involve first-line IT systems support, user administration and coordination with our software and specialist IT suppliers. This is an opportunity to work directly on commercially important projects, with substantial performance rewards when agreed programmes are successfully delivered. Performance rewards and OTE In addition to a basic salary of £32,000–£36,000, the successful candidate will be eligible for milestone-based performance rewards, providing realistic on-target earnings of £50,000 or more. Qualifying projects will have clearly defined milestones agreed in advance. Performance rewards may be earned when a project achieves stages such as: * Approved design and delivery plan. * Working and successfully tested solution. * Secure implementation and business go-live. * Successful employee adoption. * Agreed improvements in efficiency, data quality or customer response. * Demonstrable commercial or operational results. * Reliable operation following implementation. The relevant deliverables, target dates, acceptance criteria, reward amounts and payment dates will be agreed at the beginning of each qualifying project. Rewards will recognise complete, working and adopted solutions—not simply ideas, demonstrations or unfinished prototypes. AI, data and digital transformation — approximately 60% You will: * Help design, build, test and implement AI-assisted business workflows. * Connect information from our sales, stock, customer, website, telephony and operational systems. * Clean, reconcile and analyse customer, vehicle, enquiry and commercial data. * Develop customer-to-stock matching and sales-opportunity prioritisation processes. * Build reports, dashboards, internal tools and controlled automations. * Use tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, Power BI and ChatGPT. * Investigate and implement suitable APIs, exports and data feeds. * Identify opportunities to improve sales, customer service and operational efficiency. * Test solutions with employees and improve them using structured feedback. * Measure whether projects create additional sales, gross profit or operational savings. * Maintain appropriate technical documentation, testing and audit records. * Help employees adopt AI responsibly and effectively. Initial projects are expected to include: * Creating prioritised daily sales opportunity lists. * Matching customer requirements against available vehicle stock. * Identifying missed calls, overdue follow-ups and historic leads worth recontacting. * Improving management reporting and data quality. * Connecting information held across different business systems. * Introducing controlled automation for repetitive administrative processes. * Measuring the commercial results generated by new systems and workflows. IT systems support — approximately 40% You will: * Provide first-line support for routine IT and business-system issues. * Set up users, devices and approved applications. * Administer Microsoft 365 and other business applications within agreed permissions. * Manage starters, movers and leavers using documented procedures. * Maintain asset, licence, access and supplier records. * Log, prioritise and resolve support requests. * Coordinate with software suppliers and specialist support providers. * Escalate complex infrastructure, security or recovery issues appropriately. * Produce and maintain clear user and technical documentation. * Identify recurring problems and opportunities for improvement. The role will not initially carry sole responsibility for complex cybersecurity incidents, major infrastructure failures or disaster recovery. About you You may be a recent graduate, be completing your studies or already be working in a junior technology, data or IT support role. Relevant subjects may include: * Computer science * Artificial intelligence or machine learning * Data science or analytics * Software engineering * Business information systems * Mathematics, statistics or engineering A degree is helpful, but practical ability, curiosity and evidence of problem-solving are equally important. You should have: * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * A genuine interest in applying AI to real business problems. * Some experience with data analysis, Python, SQL or automation. * Confidence using Excel and working with structured datasets. * General knowledge of computers, cloud applications and user support. * The ability to communicate clearly and patiently with non-technical employees. * Good organisation and attention to detail. * An understanding of confidentiality, data protection and responsible AI use. * The ability to research unfamiliar problems. * The judgement to recognise when specialist assistance is required. * The motivation to take responsibility for agreed outcomes. Desirable experience Experience in any of the following would be useful but is not essential: * Microsoft 365 administration. * Power BI, Power Automate or Power Apps. * REST APIs, JSON or system integrations. * Git and basic software-development practices. * Building an AI-assisted application, dashboard or automation. * Providing first-line IT support. * A placement year, internship or substantial university project. * CRM, automotive, telephony or e-commerce systems. * Information security or UK GDPR. We do not expect candidates to possess every skill listed. We are looking for strong foundations, commercial curiosity and the ability to learn quickly. What we offer * Basic salary of £32,000–£38,000. * Realistic OTE of £50,000+ through milestone-based performance rewards. * Direct involvement in strategically important AI and technology projects. * Clearly defined projects with measurable outcomes. * A dedicated training and certification budget. * A structured development and progression plan. * Regular access to senior management and operational teams. * Appropriate external specialist and escalation support. * Company pension and applicable employee benefits. * Hybrid working by agreement following initial onboarding. * The opportunity to progress into an AI, Data \& Business Systems role.
