Data Scientist

We're working with a global healthcare communications and technology business that is growing its Medical Analytics \& Innovation team. They are looking for a Data Scientist with strong experience across machine learning, NLP, generative AI and data engineering to help build real-world AI products within healthcare and life sciences This role would suit someone who enjoys going beyond analysis — building scalable tools, models and workflows that have practical client impact. You’ll be involved in: * Delivering end-to-end data science projects * Building and optimising ML, NLP and AI solutions * Working with LLM APIs, prompt design, RAG, vector search and GenAI platforms * Designing scalable data pipelines using structured and unstructured data * Working with APIs, cloud platforms and modern data tools * Creating reusable frameworks and analytical products The ideal person will bring: * Strong Python and SQL skills * Experience in data science, ML, AI, NLP or similar * A degree in Statistics, Physics, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field * Experience deploying ML/NLP solutions into production * Hands-on experience with LLMs/GenAI platforms such as OpenAI, Anthropic or Azure OpenAI * Cloud experience across AWS, Azure or GCP * Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical teams * Healthcare, pharmaceutical or life sciences experience would be a bonus, but isn’t essential.
