Due to the secure nature of our programmes, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. Whilst this is a hybrid position you will be expected to travel to, and spend time at, client and CGI sites/offices as required.
Your future duties and responsibilities
In this role, you will work directly with clients to bridge the gap between AI strategy and operational delivery, helping organisations adopt AI confidently and responsibly. You'll partner with business leaders and technical teams to identify opportunities, design practical AI-enabled solutions and deploy them into production, ensuring they deliver measurable business value. Working across multiple industries, you'll combine consulting expertise with hands-on technical delivery, taking ownership of projects from discovery through to adoption while being supported by experienced colleagues and a collaborative delivery community.
You'll also help shape best practices by capturing reusable deployment approaches, sharing customer insights and contributing to the continuous evolution of CGI's AI capabilities. Your work will simplify complexity, build customer confidence and enable organisations to embed AI into everyday operations successfully.
Key responsibilities
* Discover \& Advise – Work with customers to understand business challenges and identify high-value AI opportunities.
* Shape \& Design – Develop AI adoption roadmaps and design practical AI-enabled solutions.
* Build \& Deploy – Prototype and implement AI assistants, workflows, automations and enterprise applications.
* Integrate \& Connect – Deliver integrations across enterprise systems, APIs, data sources and knowledge platforms.
* Architect \& Optimise – Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, resilient and aligned to enterprise best practice.
* Measure \& Improve – Evaluate solution performance, business impact and user adoption against defined success criteria.
* Enable \& Support – Guide customers through implementation, training and adoption to maximise long-term value.
* Collaborate \& Influence – Build trusted relationships with business leaders, technical specialists and delivery teams.
* Capture \& Share – Develop reusable playbooks, deployment patterns and technical guidance to accelerate future delivery.
* Innovate \& Contribute – Share customer feedback and lessons learned to enhance CGI's AI solutions and delivery capability.
Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
You'll bring a blend of consulting, technical delivery and problem-solving experience, with a passion for helping organisations adopt AI successfully. You should be comfortable working directly with customers, translating business challenges into practical technical solutions and taking ownership of delivery from discovery through to production. Experience delivering AI, automation or digital transformation initiatives within enterprise environments will help you succeed in this role.
Essential Qualifications
* Experience delivering technology, automation, data or AI-enabled solutions into operational environments.
* Customer-facing consulting, solutions engineering or technical delivery experience.
* Practical experience using generative AI and large language models to solve business challenges.
* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate ambiguity into clear delivery plans.
* Hands-on experience with APIs, systems integration, scripting or configurable technology platforms.
* Understanding of successful technology adoption within business operations.
* Excellent communication skills with executive, business and technical stakeholders.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining customer focus and delivery momentum.
* Collaborative approach with a strong sense of ownership and commercial awareness.
Desirable experience
* ChatGPT, OpenAI APIs or other leading generative AI platforms.
* AI adoption strategy and use-case discovery.
* Workflow automation and orchestration technologies.
* Python, JavaScript and/or SQL.
* Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and enterprise knowledge systems.
* Cloud platforms and modern application environments.
* AI testing, evaluation and observability.
* Enterprise architecture, security and governance.
* Experience working within regulated or operationally critical environments.
