About the role As the Data and AI Adoption Lead at Ofgem, you will play a key role in improving the organisation’s ability to use data and AI to make better decisions, develop effective policies and deliver high-quality services. You will lead initiatives to increase data and AI literacy across Ofgem, developing the skills, awareness and confidence needed to and ensure data and AI is properly used and managed. Working closely with stakeholders, you’ll understand the challenges and obstacles to the exploitation of data and AI within Ofgem. You’ll develop learning, assessment and engagement approaches to support the ethical and responsible use of data and AI. Job description You will be responsible for: * Developing the skills and awareness of the organisation in data and AI so that colleagues are better able to identify and exploit opportunities, make informed decisions and understand the associated risks. * Developing and overseeing data and AI literacy skills assessments to identify capability gaps and support targeted development activity. * Developing and overseeing a data and AI literacy framework, including a curriculum of training and learning opportunities to improve capability. * Facilitating a community of data and AI practitioners and champions to promote learning, knowledge sharing and the responsible use of data and AI, while addressing ethical and privacy concerns. Person specification Essential Criteria * Demonstrable experience of designing and delivering organisation-wide data and/or AI literacy programmes that resulted in measurable improvements in data and AI literacy, capability and adoption (Lead Criteria). * Experience of establishing or growing communities of practice, champion networks or professional communities to increase knowledge sharing, engagement and adoption of data, digital or AI capabilities (Lead Criteria). * Proven experience of designing, implementing and analysing capability or skills assessments to identify learning needs, measure proficiency and inform capability improvement plans. * Demonstrable understanding of data ethics and privacy principles, including experience of embedding these into learning programmes, guidance and governance.
