AI Lead Engineer

AI Lead Engineer (Equity + Future Salary) We’re looking for ad AI Lead Engineer to take ownership of the AI and technical direction of an AI-native platform with real-world traction. The concept is already proven. We have a live product with an institutional customer, a newly signed partnership with one of Africa’s leading institutions, and an ambitious roadmap towards global expansion. This isn’t a role where you’ll simply build features. You’ll shape the intelligence that sits at the core of the product and work directly alongside the founders to define what comes next. What you’ll own: * Lead the AI strategy and technical direction of the platform. * Design, build and evolve our AI systems end to end. * Own our LLM architecture, prompting, evaluation and deployment approach. * Drive experimentation, rapid iteration and product innovation. * Help shape both the product vision and long-term engineering roadmap. Compensation We’re currently raising investment to accelerate the next phase of growth. This role begins with equity, with the intention of transitioning to a salaried position once funding is secured. We’re flexible on structure for the right person.
