Job Description - Change Management Consultant – Financial Transformation \& AI Adoption Role Overview The client is seeing a consultant to support the Finance team’s journey with deriving productivity from Copilot Premium and Claude. They want a competitive person with expertise in Finance domain and AI adoption using Claude + Copilot. This role is designed for a senior business transformation professional with deep Finance domain expertise who can engage effectively with Finance leadership, understand business challenges, and drive organizational change. The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor, helping the organization navigate its AI adoption journey (Claude and Copilot) while ensuring business value is realized through people, process, and technology transformation. The focus is on enabling business transformation, fostering stakeholder adoption, identifying high-value AI opportunities, and embedding AI into Finance operations through effective change management and strategic engagement. Location – Cheshire, UK Duration – Initially 8 weeks Exp - 10 to 18yrs Work type – Onsite Key Responsibilities Change Management \& AI Adoption * Lead the change management strategy for AI adoption across the Finance function using Claude and Copilot Premium. * Develop and execute stakeholder engagement, communication, and business readiness plans. * Drive organizational adoption of AI by promoting new ways of working and helping teams embrace change. * Identify and address change impacts, risks, and resistance to ensure successful adoption. * Design and deliver workshops, awareness sessions, and training programmes to build AI understanding and confidence. * Define adoption success metrics and monitor business outcomes to ensure sustainable change. Financial Transformation * Partner with Finance leadership to understand strategic priorities, operational challenges, and transformation objectives. * Assess current Finance processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency through process redesign, automation, and AI-enabled solutions. * Support Finance transformation initiatives by aligning business processes with future operating models. * Advocate continuous improvement and operational excellence across Finance functions. AI Use Case Discovery \& Business Consulting * Facilitate discovery workshops with Finance stakeholders to identify business pain points and AI opportunities. * Translate business challenges into practical AI-enabled solutions and transformation initiatives. * Identify, prioritize, and develop a roadmap of high-value AI use cases aligned to business objectives. * Support the development of business cases and Proof of Value (PoV) initiatives. * Work alongside Digital, Data, and Technology teams to ensure AI solutions address genuine business needs. Executive Stakeholder Engagement * Build trusted relationships with Finance executives and senior business stakeholders. * Act as the primary liaison between Finance, Technology, Data, and Transformation teams. * Facilitate executive workshops to align business priorities with AI transformation objectives. * Communicate complex AI concepts in business language suitable for non-technical audiences. * Influence decision-making through structured recommendations and business-focused insights. Transformation Governance * Support governance of Finance transformation and AI adoption initiatives. * Track adoption, business benefits, and value realization against agreed KPIs. * Collaborate with programme management teams to ensure successful delivery. * Contribute to the development of long-term AI adoption and transformation roadmaps. Required Experience * 10–15+ years of experience in Change Management, Finance Transformation, or Business Transformation. * Strong Finance domain expertise with experience working across core Finance processes. * Proven track record of leading large-scale business transformation and organizational change initiatives. * Experience engaging with CFOs, Finance Directors, and senior business stakeholders. * Strong workshop facilitation, stakeholder management, and consulting skills. * Demonstrated ability to drive user adoption and embed new ways of working. · AI \& Technology Knowledge - Candidates should possess a practical understanding of: · Generative AI and Agentic AI · Microsoft Copilot and Claude · AI adoption strategies and business enablement · Responsible AI and AI governance principles · Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) strongly preferred; must be able to hold a technical finance discussion with a qualified CFO. · Hands-on depth in specific finance processes: record-to-report and close, reconciliations, treasury and cash forecasting, AP/AR, financial control - with the ability to assess them critically, not merely facilitate discussion about them. · Familiarity with commodity or asset-heavy process-industry finance (inventory/working-capital financing, hedging, duty/excise, borrowing-base and covenant reporting) is a strong advantage. The role does not require software development or AI engineering experience but does require the ability to identify where AI can create measurable business value.
