Backed by leading investors and already gaining strong commercial traction, they're building an AI-native platform designed to automate complex workflows in one of the oldest markets in the world! *This is not a typical engineering role -* As one of the first engineering hires, you'll have significant ownership over the technology, product and technical direction of the company while helping build systems that could transform how a global industry operates. You'll work directly with the founding team to architect, build and scale the core platform from the earliest stages through to international growth. What they're looking for 🎓 Strong academic background 🚀 Experience building products at high-growth AI startups or scaleups 🤖 Hands-on experience building AI-powered applications and agentic workflows 🛠️ Strong backend engineering skills with Python 🧠 Founder mentality with the ability to take ownership beyond code Requirements ⚙️ 3+ years commercial Python experience with strong FastAPI expertise ⚙️ Experience building and deploying LLM-powered systems in production ⚙️ Strong understanding of backend architecture, APIs, databases and scalable systems ⚙️ Experience with RAG, vector databases and AI orchestration frameworks ⚙️ Proven ability to own technical decisions and ship products end-to-end Nice to have * Experience with voice AI, telephony or real-time communication systems * Experience integrating complex third-party APIs and platforms * Previous startup, founding engineer or technical leadership experience Package 💰 Very competitive base salary 📈 Up to 1% Equity 🚀 Opportunity to build a category-defining AI company from day one 🏗️ Significant ownership and influence across product and technology 🌍 The chance to solve large-scale, real-world problems using cutting-edge AI For engineers who want to build a company rather than simply work for one, opportunities like this don't come around often
